A good friend of mine texted me this today:
Hey man, thought of you today when I saw this quote… figured you’d dig it:
Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and over to annihilation, can that which is indestructible be found in us.
He doesn’t know the detailed extent to what I have going on in my life at the moment.
He doesn’t know what I’m thinking in this second.
Yet, he knows me well. Because that quote is super timely and applicable to my life right now.
A good friend knows when to send the right text,
say the right joke,
laugh with you,
or challenge you.
I’m grateful for people in my life who get me (and I get them).
Where would I be without them?
