Growth Notes

Hi everyone,

I hope you’ve had THE BEST WEEK OF YOUR LIFE this week.

The last several days, I ruminated on one main thing: DEMANDING WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE.

When I was younger, there was a quote on my phone’s camera roll that said:

WORK HARD

THEN SIT BACK

AND WATCH THE WORLD GIVE IT TO YOU.

But SIT BACK AND WATCH THE WORLD GIVE IT TO YOU was crossed out like this: SIT BACK AND WATCH THE WORLD GIVE IT TO YOU.

I bring this up because I’m at the point in my life where patience and a level of detachment from the uncontrollable is important, YET taking control of what I want and demanding for my desires are just as imperative.

In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill tells the story of a young girl who demands fifty cents from a man working at a plantation. She approaches him and firmly states, “My mama needs fifty cents.” At first, he dismisses her, assuming she’ll back down, but the girl stands her ground, determined and unwavering. Even when he threatens to hit her, she doesn’t flinch or show fear, and eventually, he relents, handing over the fifty cents.

BE CLEAR ON WHAT YOU WANT, DEMAND WHAT YOU WANT FROM THE WORLD, AND PLANT SEEDS OF ACTION, WATERED WITH PERSISTENCE, THAT WILL LEAD TO LARGE SPROUTS OF ABUNDANCE.

God Bless,

Anthony
