Question For You

Growth Notes

Each Day = The Most Important Day

Should it be anything less?

Why not “attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind”, as Jim Harbaugh says?

Why not “perform at your best when your best is required, since your best is required each and every day”, as John Wooden exclaims.

We are not meant to occupy our lives by going from one drudgery task to the next.

Our lives are best lived when waking up with an excitement to take on the daily tasks ahead.

Once you begin to see each day as the most important day, you will never go back. It’s like putting on permanent sunglasses. But instead of your view being the tint of a different color, your view is that of excitement.

However, there is one difficulty here. Conveying this message about having an attitude of gratitude to a miserable person is like selling a scale to an obese man who doesn’t want to lose weight.

The scale can be present, but without the want to be more thin, the scale can’t be properly used.

Those who want to properly use their days... to “carpe diem”... to seize the day... are individuals who understand what it means to use life well... to live each day like their last.

With that said, it doesn’t imply that each day will be in perfect alignment with our plans. The days rain just as they do shine.

Yet, that’s the thing. What if what was happening to you today was meant to happen to you today?

Each day brings its own elements, its own lessons, its own blessings.
