Growth Notes

It is Sunday night. March 2nd. 2025.

I long to write what’s on my mind.

I write this in a state of flow and won’t be editing anything I type.

What comes to my mind in this moment will be what you read.

Right where you are. Right in this moment. Just as you are.

I’m thinking of two things: the mind + prayer.

The mind.

It’s so powerful, yet we take it for granted. We don’t use it to the full capability as it’s been bestowed to us. It’s energetic force can power cities. It’s abilities can commune with God the Father (through Jesus Christ).

What we think is what we create — just like what we plant is the harvest we reap.

Prayer.

Having access to God, yet we use it like it’s just "another one of those tools”.

Yes, it’s a tool. The most powerful of all.

To be given such a gift, but not use it to the full advantage it offers. What a shame.

The beautiful thing about prayer is that it’s humbling. It’s humbling to close our eyes before the Creator of the universe and ask things.

But with great humility, comes great strength.

Prayer is more than just another tool. Prayer is our way of aligning our minds and hearts to the One who controls all things.

Don’t you want to be with the One who controls all things?

Don’t you want to be able to control your mind, and not just have it wander aimlessly from invasive thought to invasive thought?

To control the mind takes discipline.

To go to God in prayer takes commitment.

Anything that is worth while in this life does not come fast or easy.

But when that thing does come, it may seem like it happens in a fast and easy moment. But that’s just the long, hard preparatory work that has led you to the moment when fate finally materializes itself onto your path.

Are you willing to put in the work given the fact that you have such tremendous gifts at your disposal?
