Growth Notes
(1) Life Surge
Here's an iterated version of your text, refining the structure, flow, and clarity while preserving the core message and emotional impact:
I attended an event called Life Surge with my friend Luke, who had an extra ticket and invited me along. Naturally, I jumped at the chance.
The lineup featured incredible speakers like John Maxwell, Ed Mylett, Tim Tebow, Daymond John, and others.
Among them, Ed Mylett’s speech stood out as one of the most powerful I’ve ever heard. It hit me deeply, stirring emotions through what felt like the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Ed shared a raw, personal story about his father, who struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction, initially casting a shadow of fear over his early life. Yet, through a transformative shift in perspective, Ed came to see his dad as his greatest hero.
His message centered on family and love. It was profound to hear a man who has achieved immense success reflect to a crowd of thousands that, in the end, only two things truly matter: Jesus and family.

(2) Saw Some Land and Had Some Fellowship Last Sunday
Last Sunday, I got together with a family from my church. My girlfriend and I went to their home (below is a picture of their amazing land).
When I first met them at church, we had originally connected on a deep level about our shared values of faith, family, and food - so God naturally brought about a fellowship at their house.
It was nice to see land, hear the silence of the horizon, and be in the presence of people who truly loved God.
This day confirmed what I already know: this is what it’s all about.
Faith, Fellowship, and Food.

(3) HOW YOU SPEAK TO YOURSELF MATTERS!
I truly believe that whatever a parent speaks unto their child at a young age is what that child becomes.
Speak life, faith, and belief into them and they will have rock solid self-esteem.
Do the opposite and the child will be a ball of negative energy. It’s how you develop the seeds that determines the growth.
Then, it’s up to the young child to go out into the world and grow from experience.
When I was a young boy, my mother read this book to me 365 days per year for 3 years straight.
It’s the foundation of my faith — I just didn’t realize until she told me about this story recently.

With appreciation,
Anthony

Love you Aunt Diane.
“On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Anthony D’Apolito will celebrate his birthday - not with cake or candles, but by running 100 miles around Packanack Lake. Yet this run isn’t just a personal challenge — it’s a heartfelt tribute to his late aunt and godmother, Diane D’Apolito-May.”
Guiseppe D’Apolito
I thought working 14 hour days was hard.
Then, I heard stories of my great grandpa.
20 years old. Advanced tailor. Moved from Italy to U.S with his newlywed wife. $2 in his pocket. Sailed on a boat called Guiseppe. Went through Ellis Island. Starting from nothing and built a massive family and business. His tailor shop lasted 96 years later, way beyond his lifespan.
Daily, he would work from 5-7 am in the shop, walk across the street to his home to have coffee while his kids had breakfast, go back to the shop, work until late, come home to rest, then work in a warehouse overnight.
I need to go harder.
Going to log more hours.
More focus. More sacrifice. More discipline.
Channeling my great grandpa. My Guiseppe D’Apolito.
